THE MOST CREATIVE USE OF AN INCENTIVE PROGRAM TO SOLVE A MARKETING PROBLEM

Ideal For

(Two sub-categories)
  1. Internal Marketing Campaign, i.e., directed towards a captive sales force.
  2. External Marketing Campaign, i.e., directed towards consumer/customer/end-user.
The main object of this category is to recognize the "front-end" aspects of an incentive marketing program, i.e., the design and structure, program rules, objectives and results.

Individual incentive travel and multiple motivation reward programs, in addition to group travel programs, may be entered in this category.

Evaluation Criteria - MUST INCLUDE:
All entrants must submit responses to the questions (these will be included on the online entry form).

  1. State the specific objectives of the program being evaluated.
  2. Detail specific challenges encountered during the program and the solutions implemented.
  3. Identify how the implementation/execution of your ideas succeeded in achieving the program objectives identified above.
  4. Detail results against objectives. Why should you win?
  5. Identify the creative and unique ways in which the solution(s) were implemented.
  6. Demonstrate the quantitative effectiveness and results of the program, include ROI.
  7. Submit letters attesting to the subjective positive results achieved from the incentive program.
  8. Length of qualification period. Include program start and end date.


BEST INCENTIVE PROMOTION AND/OR COMMUNICATION PROGRAM

Ideal For

-Premium Suppliers
-Event Planners

(Three sub-categories - program targeted towards:)
  1. Non-company employees, i.e., dealers, agents, etc.
  2. Company employees, i.e., internal sales force or customer service department, etc.
  3. Consumers or End-Users, i.e. to increase sales and/or market share of a packaged goods product, retail store, restaurant, etc.
Judges will evaluate the originality of the concept, creativity, copy, design, presentation, continuity and overall effectiveness of the promotional/communication elements.

Evaluation Criteria - MUST INCLUDE:
All entrants must submit responses to the questions (these will be included on the online entry form).
  1. State the specific objectives of the program being evaluated.
  2. Detail specific challenges encountered during the program and the solutions implemented.
  3. Identify how the implementation/execution of your ideas succeeded in achieving the program objectives identified above.
  4. Detail results against objectives. Why should you win?
  5. Identify the creative and unique ways in which the solution(s) were implemented.
  6. Demonstrate the quantitative effectiveness and results of the program, include ROI.
  7. Include electronic samples/electronic photos of print materials, ads, TV or radio spots (if any), point-of-purchase displays, etc. Materials may include electronic samples from launch kits, Web sites, dimensional mailers, tracking reports, room amenities, videos, etc. See Technical Specifications for details.
  8. Length of qualification period. Include program start and end date.


MOST OUTSTANDING INCENTIVE TRAVEL PROGRAM

  • 5 - 75 participants

Evaluation Criteria - MUST INCLUDE:
All entrants must submit responses to the questions (these will be included on the online entry form).

  1. State the specific objectives of the program being evaluated.
  2. Detail specific challenges encountered during the program and the solutions implemented.
  3. Identify how the implementation/execution of your ideas succeeded in achieving the program objectives identified above.
  4. Detail results against objectives. Why should you win?
  5. Identify the creative and unique ways in which the solution(s) were implemented.
  6. Include a statement as to why this particular trip deserves the Crystal Award. How were destination resources maximized to provide an exceptional experience?
  7. A detailed budget must be submitted. Include example of budget maximization.
  8. Provide justification of the destination selection in relation to the client's objective and the group's travel profile/history. Must include letters from client and destination/hotel partners supporting the event.
  9. Demonstrate originality, creativity, innovation, and teamwork.


MOST OUTSTANDING SINGLE EVENT

(Three sub-categories - select budget that matches your program.)
  1. Budget under US $80,000 equivalent.
  2. Budget over US $81,000 and under US $150,000 equivalent.
  3. Budget over US $150,000 equivalent.

Evaluation Criteria - MUST INCLUDE:
All entrants must submit responses to the questions (these will be included on the online entry form).

  1. State the specific objectives of the program being evaluated.
  2. Detail specific challenges encountered during the program and the solutions implemented.
  3. Identify how the implementation/execution of your ideas succeeded in achieving the program objectives identified above.
  4. Detail results against objectives. Why should you win?
  5. Identify the creative and unique ways in which the solution(s) were implemented. Include a statement as to why this particular event deserves the Crystal Award.
  6. Must provide a breakdown of budget , i.e., Hotel Banquet Event Order showing menu and food costs must be included.
  7. All expenses must be detailed, including: invitation, rental, transfers, staging, tenting, lighting, sound, multimedia, decor, centerpieces, linen, chair covers, printed materials for the event, favors/give away items, food and beverage, entertainment, music, dancers, laser, fireworks, special effects, headliners, etc.
  8. Must include a video - not to exceed 8 minutes - (see Technical Support) and electronic photos of the event. Must include letters from clients and destination/hotel partners supporting the event.
  9. Demonstrate originality, creativity, teamwork, budget vs. innovation, challenges and execution.



OUTSTANDING CATERED EVENT AT AN INCENTIVE PROGRAM

This category will be judged on how the presentation of food and beverage become part of the incentive event. Must detail menu, set-up theme (if any) and presentation.

Evaluation Criteria - MUST INCLUDE:
All entrants must submit responses to the questions (these will be included on the online entry form).

  1. State the specific objectives of the program being evaluated.
  2. Detail specific challenges encountered during the program and the solutions implemented.
  3. Identify how the implementation/execution of your ideas succeeded in achieving the program objectives identified above.
  4. Detail results against objectives. Why should you win?
  5. Identify the creative and unique ways in which the solution(s) were implemented. Include a statement as to why this particular event deserves the Crystal Award. How were event resources maximized to provide an exceptional experience?
  6. A detailed budget must be submitted. Include example of budget maximization.
  7. Provide electronic photos of event. Include letters from both incentive house and client.
  8. Demonstrate originality, creativity, teamwork, budget vs. innovation, challenges and execution.
