The International SITE Foundation (ISITE ) announces the David Riddell Memorial Scholarship Program
A new scholarship program named in honor of the late David Riddell, one of SITE's past presidents and most active members, is being offered to worthy individuals to pay their expenses to attend the SITE International Conference.
Each SITE chapter may nominate a candidate for this award. "Applicants can be students or professionals presently working in incentive travel or a related field and do not have to be a member of SITE," says Jerry McGee, president of the ISITE Foundation Board of Trustees. "We want to reach out to any deserving individual with the financial need and an interest in incentive travel."
Chapter-nominated applicants are required to write a paper on one of several topics related to incentive travel and describe the reasons they should be selected. The ISITE Foundation will review each submission and announce the recipient of the first David Riddell Memorial Scholarship by 1 October 2007. Arrangements will then be made for the scholar to attend SITE International Conference 2007 in Monterey, California, USA, 6-9 December.
Thanks to a generous donation from
Marriott Individual Incentives
and the great generosity of the SITE membership, the endowment is funded in perpetuity.
Interested applicants should contact their local SITE chapter or SITE Headquarters for more information on how to apply. |
