The Society of Incentive & Travel Executives Recognizes Joost de Meyer with Certified Incentive Travel Executive Certification

CHICAGO - Joost de Meyer, member of The Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE), was awarded a Certified Incentive Travel Executive (CITE) designation at the 2007 SITE International Conference in Monterey, California. de Meyer enters an elite group of incentive travel professionals worldwide who hold this prestigious certification. A member of the SITE Board of Directors, de Meyer is the president of First Incentive Travel Inc., based in Kissimmee, Florida.

The CITE designation - the incentive travel industry's highest achievement - is reserved for individuals who are well-versed in the development and use of incentive travel as a modern motivational and marketing tool. To earn CITE certification, individuals must first accomplish six designation steps that include accumulating 100 qualifying points, passing a rigorous three-hour examination and completing an original research paper that enhances the body of knowledge about the incentive travel industry.

"The CITE Certification is a key to opening new opportunities in the incentive travel industry," said de Meyer. "The certification shows your clients and peers that you have a high level of skills, experience and qualifications."

"Joost is representative of CITE designees: highly innovative with a keen business acumen and sense of commitment to advancing the profession," said SITE CEO Brenda Anderson. "CITE designees are leaders and visionaries in our field, and will continue to propel the incentives industry forward in years to come."
