Awaken Your Senses at the SITE International Conference

SITE International Conference follows EIBTM - Offers Global Perspective on Business

CHICAGO - The SITE International Conference 2006, 30 November – 3 December at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I – Business & City Resort, plans to Awaken attendees' Senses to all that Barcelona has to offer.  Nearly 500 incentive and travel practitioners and executives will be on hand to discuss trends and key issues impacting the travel and incentive business today.  The profile of the attendees gives testament to the interconnectivity and global reach of the professionals of the incentive and travel community as SITE has grown to serve member representatives from 87 countries.

Attendees at the 33rd SITE International Conference will be embraced by Barcelona and the delights she has to offer.  SITE members and guests will be able to SEE the people that live there, SMELL the aroma of the Mediterranean, the markets and the aromatic herbs while walking the streets of the city, TASTE the culinary delight, TOUCH the latest in design and LISTEN to the sounds of Barcelona – flamenco, fiestas, guitars, opera.

For the first time in SITE history the SITE International Conference follows EIBTM. Participants in the event will have the opportunity to do business on the tradeshow floor at EIBTM and then participate in the eye-opening and informative educational topics at the SITE International Conference.

SITE has continued it’s efforts to expose new buyers to the International Conference through it’s partnership with Starwood Hotels & Resorts worldwide and the Starwood Incentive Practitioner’s Scholarship Program.  The program allows Scholars to experience the premiere event in the incentive industry as well as being introduced to leaders in the incentive industry.  This year’s scholars will come from Austria, Belgium, Canada, England, Germany, Mexico, Peru, South Africa, Thailand and other far reaching locations.  The scholar data indicates 52% run over 35 incentive programs a year domestically and 42% run over 35 incentive programs internationally.  The size of the programs represented is healthy with 68% of domestic programs and 47% of international programs serving over 150 travelers.

SITE International Conference also honors excellence through the SITE Crystal Awards each year. The award winning programs will be announced during the Crystal Awards luncheon on Friday, 1 December. The awards not only recognize the “best of the best” in the incentive and travel industry, but also inform the rest of the industry about what these companies are doing for their clients. The SITE Crystal Awards are sponsored by IMEX, and are supported by Incentive Magazine.
