Hurricane Resource Page

Hello Friends,

I know you will join me in sending our most heartfealt thoughts to all those who have been affected by Hurrican Katrina especially the members of our own SITE family. SITE has received several inquires on our members and how to help them and others affected by the disaster. SITE has pledged to do whatever it can to help our hospitality community including the support of the Hospitality Industry Relief Fund.

The Hospitality Industry Relief Fund was started by PCMA who is encouraging all of the industry organizations and hospitality partners to contribute to help our hospitality community rebuild their lives. I encourage you to pledge your support to our hospitality and incentive community.

SITE has set up resource page with current updates from SITE members and news organizations. We have also listed a number of organizations you can pledge support. SITE has also appointed Board Member Jane Halsey to be a liaison to the New Orleans CVB. Jane is already in contact with them and she will be briefing us regularly, as well as helping them with anything they might need from our organization.

SITE will continue to find ways to help those affected by Hurricane Katrina and listed below are just a few ways we immediately are able to give back.

• Donate half of our proceeds from our annual charity at the International Conference to relief efforts. Last year we raised over $10,000USD.
• Partner with PCMA in supporting the Hospitality Industry Relief Fund- more details to follow.
• We are in the process of planning a special fundraising event at IT&ME- more details to follow.
• An industry specific resource page with current updates from SITE members and reputable news sources.
• Complimentary registration and hotel accommodations for our International Conference in Toronto to all SITE members from the affected areas.
• Free 2006 membership for members from the affected areas.

Again I want to thank all of you for coming together as an international community to help aid in our efforts.
